Joe Giglio says the Eagles have more to prove on Sunday than the 49ers.
"I believe the Eagles are the team that has the most to prove on Sunday when they take the field," Giglio said at the beginning of Thursday's 94WIP Midday Show with Hugh Douglas. "I'm not surprised they're underdogs at all, I don't think it's disrespectful, I understand why the line is what it is. But all week, every expert out there everywhere, is saying this is right. That the Niners are going to come in there this week, they're going to win the game and the Eagles can prove everyone wrong. They can take my doubt away. They can prove all the experts wrong. They can prove, without a shadow of a doubt, that they are the best team in the National Football League."
Douglas disagreed, saying San Fran—a 2.5-point road favorite—has more to prove than Philadelphia.
"I think the 49ers are the team with something to prove," Douglas said. "They've been chirping for a whole year...if you don't win this game Sunday, everything goes through Philadelphia again."
