Jalen Hurts has returned to his 2022 form and Joe Giglio believes he is an NFL MVP candidate again.
"Hurts is playing like a candidate to win the MVP," Giglio said on Monday's 94WIP Midday Show with Hugh Douglas.
"We nit pick everything. But his passer rating is higher than it was two years ago when he was second in the MVP. His completion percentage is higher than it was two years when he finished second in the MVP."
Hurts, 26, currently has the fourth shortest odds to win NFL MVP at 14-1 behind only Lamar Jackson (+110), Josh Allen (+360), and Patrick Mahomes (+650), according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
The Eagles' QB has led Philadelphia to a 7-2 record, including five straight wins, completing a career-high 69.8-percent of his passes while throwing for 1,976 yards, 12 touchdowns, and five interceptions. He has a career-high 103.4 QB rating.
On the ground, Hurts has rushed for another 378 yards on 93 attempts and has already rushed for 10 scores. He has accounted for 22 total touchdowns and nine turnovers (4 fumbles lost) this season.
