The Philadelphia Eagles have not rushed for 100 or more yards in three-straight games, their longest streak since 2016, and despite being 7-1 Seth Joyner is worried about that.

"This transition to the total lack of respect for the running game is going to be the undoing of us at some point in time," Joyner said on Monday's 94WIP Morning Show with Joe DeCamara and Jon Ritchie. "Because A.J. Brown is a great wide receiver. But if you go back and you look at the beginning of the season, the really good defensive coordinators was not letting him go off the way he is going off right now. Nobody wants to talk about that. 'Oh the passing game was just in a lull.' No, they had a plan for him.

"And when you get to the playoff level, especially the NFC Championship, AFC Championship and you get to the Super Bowl, you are going to face the top coordinator in the National Football League and they will have a plan for A.J. Brown...And if you abandon the running game you are not going to be able to accomplish what you want to accomplish because Jon, you know like I do, the running game is not something you just turn on and turn off when you want to."

The Eagles, on 62 offensive play calls, had just 59 rushing yards on 22 attempts in Sunday's 38-31 comeback win over the Commanders, while Jalen Hurts threw the ball 38 times for 319 yards and four touchdowns.

Through eight games, the Eagles are averaging a more than respectable 132.3 yards per game on the ground, good for eighth best in the NFL. However, to Joyner's point, the last three weeks the Eagles are averaging just 79.3 rushing yards per game.
