The Philadelphia Eagles are signing former New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley to a three-year deal worth $37.75 million that could be worth up to $46.75 million and $26 million guaranteed, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.
"Don't ever disrespect Howie Roseman!" Ike Reese said on Monday's 94WIP Afternoon Show. "Any of you!"
Barkley's chose the Eagles over the Texans and Bears, according to reports. The Giants reportedly never made an offer to Barkley.
Barkley, a two-time Pro Bowl running back, has three 1,000-plus rushing yard seasons and has 40-plus balls in every season he has been healthy, including three 50-plus catch seasons and a 91-catch rookie season.
The 27-year-old running back, who attended Whitehall Township High School in Pennsylvania before excelling at Penn State, battled through a Week 2 ankle sprain last season, playing 14 games. Contrary to popular belief, he has played 13-plus games in all of his six NFL seasons except one—2020 when he tore his ACL.
In 14 games last season, Barkley recorded 962 yards and six touchdowns on the ground and caught 41 balls, for 280 yards and four touchdowns through the air on an injury-riddled 6-11 Giants team.
Last week, former Giants running back turned WFAN radio host in New York Tiki Barber said he would lose respect for Barkley if he joined the rival Eagles.
Philly native D'Andre Swift will not be returning to the Eagles after just one season with the organization, signing a three-year deal with the Chicago Bears for $24 million in free-agency.
Swift, 25, rushed for over 1,000 yards in his first season as an Eagle and has shown the ability to have success as a pass catcher as well, but was not utilized often as an Eagle in that department, catching 39 passes for 214 yards last season.
