The Philadelphia Eagles are releasing veteran safety Kevin Byard, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Byard, who turns 31 in August, was acquired by the Eagles in October for a fifth and sixth round pick along with Terrell Edmunds.
The Eagles will save around $13 million in cap space by releasing Byard.
Byard, a Philadelphia native, was a third round pick of the Titans in 2016 out of Middle Tennessee.
Byard made two first-team All-Pros and two Pro Bowls with the Titans, but struggled in just 10 games as an Eagles recording just three passes defended and one interception, along with 75 total tackles.
