The Philadelphia Phillies congratulated the Atlanta Braves for winning the National League East division on Wednesday night at Citizens Bank Park, as the Braves celebrated on the Phillies' field.

The 94WIP Morning Show debated this on Thursday.
“To me, congratulating them is over the top," Ray Didinger said on Thursday's 94WIP Morning Show. "You don’t have to congratulate them…Just very neutral. Fine, let them celebrate but I don’t have to congratulate them.”
"It's absolute fine, not a problem," Howard Eskin disagreed. "It's classy, whatever. They won. They kicked the Phillies' ass and I think if anything it should motivate the Phillies if they play them again. They won. They're a really, really, really good team."
The Braves took three of four against the Phils at the Bank this week, moving to a ridiculous 96-50 on this season, 17.0 games ahead of the 79-67 Phils.
The Phils are just 5-8 in September now after a 17-10 August, finding themselves just 1.5 games up on the Chicago Cubs for the NL's top wildcard spot and just 3.5 games ahead of the Diamondbacks and Reds for the third NL wildcard spot.
Hopefully, the Phils can end strong as four of their final five series' are against sub .500 clubs: at the Cardinals, vs. the Mets, vs. the Pirates, and at the Mets.
