Didinger on Eagles' players love for Sirianni: Show it on the field in Tampa

Ray Didinger says the time for Philadelphia Eagles' players to make the statement that they love their coach was on the field in Tampa Bay.

"If you really loved your coach, if you really wanted to make sure that he was going to be your coach moving forward, the time to make that statement was on the field in Tampa," Didinger said on Thursday's 94WIP Morning Show.

Since the Eagles' collapse to lose six of their final seven games, including a playoff blowout loss at the Bucs, many players have come out and defended head coach Nick Sirianni.

Veteran leaders Fletcher Cox and Jason Kelce were adamant in their support of Sirianni after the season ended and wide receiver A.J. Brown has continued to defend the coaching staff, as recently as last week during his call-in to the 94WIP Afternoon Show.

"Yeah, the locker room was fine," Brown said on 94WIP. "Players wasn't executing, that's what it came down to. I think the media kind of ran with the coaches...It was the players not executing."

Sirianni is 34-17 in his three seasons as Eagles' head coach with a 2-3 record in the postseason, including that 38-35 Super Bowl 57 loss to the Chiefs.

The Eagles retained Sirianni this offseason for a fourth season as head coach, changing coordinators by bringing in Kellen Moore to run the offense and Vic Fangio to handle the defense.
