The Eagles are interested in quarterback Jacoby Brissett, according to NFL insider Adam Caplan.
“[The Eagles] have interest I'm told by multiple sources in Jacoby Brissett," said Caplan via InsideTheBirds.com. "Not surprising, obviously the connection with the Colts coaches but he doesn't have an agent. He hasn’t used an agent in years. He actually did his two-year extension and did a pretty good job on it by the way. Now, what I understand is Bill Parcells is his advisor, legendary Hall of Fame coach. I think Monday afternoon they could talk to him because he's not an agent, technically.”
While legal tampering begins on Monday at noon, the official start to the 2021 NFL league year doesn't begin until Wednesday at 4pm E.T.
The Eagles are in need of a quarterback to backup rookie Jalen Hurts, who the team is reportedly ready to build around.
Brissett, 28, has been with the Colts since 2017 under new Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni.
In 2019, Brissett started 15 games throwing for 2,942 yards, 18 touchdowns, and only six interceptions, while also rushing for 260 yards and four scores.
