Report: DeSean Jackson out several weeks, Lane Johnson 'shouldn't miss much time'

While the Eagles lost two key veteran players to injury on Thursday night in DeSean Jackson and Lane Johnson, they've received relatively good news on both players.

Jackson has apparently suffered what we expected, a high ankle sprain that will likely keep him out several weeks, not the entire season, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Additionally, Eagles Pro Bowl offensive lineman Lane Johnson also suffered another injury in Thursday night's game. According to Rap, Johnson has a Grade 1 MCL sprain and "shouldn't miss much time."

Jackson finally returned from injury on Thursday night against the Giants, only to suffer another serious injury late in the game on a punt return.

Jackson, who has been constantly battling injury after injury since rejoining the Eagles last year, posted on his Instagram account after the game a photo of himself in a boot with the caption, "Pray for me, ya'll!"

Jackson, 33, has played in just seven games and caught 22 balls since rejoining Philadelphia before the 2019 season.
