The Eagles are 3-6-1, and as expected, it appears owner Jeffrey Lurie is not happy.
According to a report from the Philadelphia Inquirer, Lurie skipped the team's game against the Cleveland Browns last week out of frustration, and has left some practices this season "out of disgust."
The report goes on to say that Lurie has not missed a game in years (if ever), and that his absence was noticeable and viewed by people within the organization as a sign of his frustration.
The Eagles, through a spokesmen to the Inquirer, say that Lurie missed the game out of an abundance of caution due to the COVID-19 pandemic and wanting to be extra cautious traveling around Thanksgiving.
The report is interesting to say the least and certainly makes you wonder what kind of changes could be coming at the end of the season if things don't turn around.
Although the Eagles will be just three years removed from winning the Super Bowl, and two years removed from making it to the divisional round of the playoffs, it is possible the terrible showing from the team this year could lead to some changes.
The offense, under Doug Pederson, has been on a slow decline and is now one of the worst in the league.
The roster, under Howie Roseman, is a devastating mixture of almost no young talent and older veterans on bad deals.
Quarterback Carson Wentz has gone from one of the best up-and-coming quarterbacks to one of the worst in the league on a terrible contract.
It is possible Lurie decides to give the trio one more year, chalking 2020 up as a bad year in a weird situation from a trio he believes in.
If this report is true, however, it certainly seems like he isn't leaning that way — and that we could be seeing some major changes coming once this season ends.
