Former first-round pick Andre Dillard has had a lackluster career thus far with the Eagles, but that doesn't mean his fortunes could change in another uniform.

According to Jeff McLane, teams have inquired the Eagles about trading for the third year left-tackle:

"But even before Dillard strained his right knee last week, it was clear that Mailata had a firm grasp on the position. The word had increasingly gotten out around the NFL as teams, directly or not, inquired about Dillard’s availability, per league sources.

Left tackle is a premium position, after all, and while Dillard’s value has plummeted, a team’s desperation should never be underestimated. The Eagles weren’t the only team to give the Washington State product high marks out of college. His athleticism is still evident. And Dillard wouldn’t be the first to benefit from a change of scenery."

This comes a few days after another disappointing left-tackle, Greg Little, was traded for a seventh round pick. Dillard came into camp with a reportedly improved mindset but hurt his knee last week. One NFL executive said the injuries "are a major obstacle", according to McLane. Last year, Dillard suffered a season-ending bicep tear and strained a ligament in his right knee.
