Ron Jaworski stands by his postgame prediction that Eagles will reach Super Bowl

Immediately following the Eagles' 35-10 dominating win over the Titans on Sunday, former Eagles quarterback Ron Jaworski declared that the Eagles will reach the Super Bowl on the NBC Sports Philadelphia postgame show.

A couple of days later, Joe DeCamara asked Jaws—a self proclaimed "one play at a time" football guy—about his comments and if they were his emotions getting the best of him or if he still feels that way.

"But Jaws, I was really struck postgame the other day," DeCamara asked. "You basically laid it out 10 minutes after the Eagles won that game. You were like, 'Eagles are going to the playoffs,' which we all know. 'Eagles are going to win two playoff games and they are going to play in the Super Bowl.' And I never heard you get that far ahead of it before. Is that still what you're feeling or did you get a little into the moment of such a thrilling win?"

"Joe, even more so late Monday afternoon after I looked at the tape," Jaworski said on Wednesday's 94WIP Midday Show. "We all thought this game would be kind of a litmus test of for the Eagles' physicality...Quite honestly, we kicked their ass on both sides of the ball, down in the trenches. It was embarrassing if you're a Tennessee Titan fan and a glorious day if you're an Eagle fan. It was that kind of game where we dominated, I'm telling you dominated, their lines on both sides. Now granted, they have some injuries, but so does everybody. It's that time of the year, everybody is hurt."

Jaws was also asked about free-agent WR Odell Beckham Jr., who Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio reported the Eagles may be interested in. Jaws says his knee-jerk reaction is that he does not want OBJ, who may mess up a Super Bowl locker room culture.

"This is a Super Bowl contending team and I think the favorite to win the Super Bowl," Jaws said. "We are the best team in the NFC and I think the best team in the NFL right now."
