Saquon Barkley revealed that his daughter inadvertently roasted the Giants after learning that her father was moving down the Turnpike to play for the rival Eagles.
After watching Barkley struggle against Philly for years with Big Blue, when five-year-old Jada found out Barkley was signing with the Birds on a three-year deal, her response was, ‘Does that mean we’re gonna win now?’
Barkley’s recollection of the moment was captured on the Eagles social media accounts, documenting their new running back’s first day with his new team.
Apparently, Jada had grown tired of seeing her father and the Giants lose to the Eagles, despite New York finally beating Philadelphia in their most recent matchup. But that was an anomaly, as Philly won 16 of the previous 19 games against Big Blue, included a 38-7 blowout win in the divisional round in 2022, Barkley’s only year in which the Giants reached the postseason.
Barkley recalled replying to his daughter, “Hopefully we can win some more games.”
