The Lamar Jackson and Michael Vick comparisons have long been made since the Baltimore Ravens star’s breakout season last year, and they returned on Sunday after an epic touchdown run.
In the second quarter of Sunday’s Wild Card matchup against the Tennessee Titans, Jackson broke free after being pressured and scorched the Titans defense for a 48-yard game-tying touchdown run as he dove just inside the pylon.
It was the second-longest quarterback touchdown run in NFL postseason history, trailing only Colin Kaepernick.
ESPN’s Next Gen Stats recorded Jackson as topping out at 20.52 mph on his run – the seventh-fastest by a quarterback this season. Jackson is actually responsible for three of those seven runs as his dynamic, play-making abilities were on display once again.
Of course, any time Jackson dazzles with his legs, the Vick comparisons begin piling in and the former Falcons and Eagles quarterback was trending on Twitter after Sunday’s run.
