Mike Missanelli returned to the SportsRadio 94WIP airwaves for the first time since 2006 on Thursday morning, joining Angelo Cataldi and the 94WIP Morning Show.

The two Philadelphia radio legends reminisced about their time at WIP, Missanelli's time working with Howard Eskin, and their careers in general.

Missanelli was fired from WIP in 2006 after an altercation with a producer.

"The altercation I regret," Missanelli told Cataldi on Thursday. "I wish I would have been a little calmer in that particular situation, but I had two strikes against me. I'm Sicilian and I'm a Scorpio and that's bad DNA, it mixes."

Cataldi asked Missanelli if he would ever return to radio.

"My ears are always open," Missanelli said. "When this ended at the other station I came back, I didn't expect I was going to do anything and then all of the sudden I got a couple of calls to do some things. I'm not ready for the grave. I think I would listen to any opportunity if it was palatable. I'm happy right now with the pace I'm working with."

Angelo, who is retiring after the Eagles' season, also joined Missanelli's podcast on November 15th.

"That podcast, that got more reaction than all the other podcasts I've done put together," Cataldi said.
