Hurley had just received a technical for slapping the side board and tried to laugh it off so he turned toward the fans and began raising his arms up and down, which apparently the officials did not like, assessing him another technical and ejecting him from the game.

It was a shocking move from the official and one that was met with disbelief by college hoops fans and media everywhere on social media.

Kimani Young replaced Hurley for the remainder of the game, which the Huskies won in thrilling fashion, 71-69.

After the game, Hurley said he was curious to hear the explanation.
