Jay Wright has addresses the rumors about him taking over as the new Philadelphia 76ers' head coach, saying, "I am not a candidate for the job."
"As a lifetime 76ers fans, I am confident they will bring in the right coach to build on what Brett Brown has developed," Wright wrote in a statement he posted on his Twitter account on Wednesday afternoon.
Wright was among the names rumored to be possible replacements for Brown, who was fired after the Sixers were swept in the first-round by the Boston Celtics.
Other names include Tyronn Lue and Jason Kidd, but Elton Brand and the Sixers are still conducting their search for a new head coach.
