Citizens Bank Park, Phillies fans have created best home field advantage in MLB
Citizens Bank Park is the best home advantage in Major League Baseball and Joe Giglio believes the fans in Philadelphia, combined with CBP, give the Phillies an edge.
"I really believe, not just the stadium here, but the fans give this team an advantage," Giglio said on Wednesday's 94WIP Midday Show. "Hugh, they're 25-3 in their last 28 home games. 25-3 is a remarkable statistic! Since Topper took over as their manager, they are 125-65 here in Philadelphia. 29-10 this year, in fact I think one of those loses were in London so they've only lost nine home games—real home games—this season.
"There's something about this group of players and the people in Philadelphia that they just play better here."
As Giglio mentioned, Rob Thomson's home record as Phillies manager is an absurd 125-65, including the postseason.
