Ranking the top 10 MLB home uniforms for 2021
Ahead of the 2020 season, Nike replaced Majestic as the official on-field uniform provider of Major League Baseball. With that, the iconic Nike swoosh was placed just below the right shoulder on all uniforms, including some of the most classic in the history of the sport.
While the move wasn't especially popular at the time, you're increasingly starting to get used to it on all MLB uniforms, even the ones that it initially seemed sacrilegious to alter.
Here are the top 10 2021 MLB home uniforms, with some of the longest-tenured jerseys unaffected in their placing by the addition of a logo:

10. Chicago Cubs
Since 1969, the Cubs have donned pinstriped home uniforms, an excellent look. It's been since all the way back in 1937 that the Cubs have had their name written on the left side of their home jerseys inside a circle. The Cubs are a rare case of a team whose best uniform - their blue alternates - may actually be a solid colored top. Still, the home pinstripes are pretty cool.

9. Chicago White Sox
Dating back to the early 1950s, the White Sox have usually used a pinstriped uniform - sometimes even a red one - for their home games. Since 1990, though, the White Sox have been settled on their current home look, which accentuates one of the coolest logos that the sport has to offer.

8. Philadelphia Phillies
There have been slight adjustments made to the script on the Phillies home uniforms, but the red pinstripes have been their primary look in Philadelphia since 1992. They aren't the most classic pinstripes in baseball, but there's a case to be made that they are the best in the senior circuit.

7. San Diego Padres
From 1969-2019, the Padres really didn't have a consistently aesthetically-pleasing look. Though it has its supporters, the brown and yellow look that the Padres sported in the 1970s and 1980s was too much. The uniforms that the Padres wore for the bulk of Tony Gwynn's Hall of Fame career were fine, but somewhat forgettable. The team's look from 2004 to 2019 was extremely bland. However, the Padres hit their stride with new uniforms introduced ahead of the 2020 season. We're most partial to the team's grey pinstriped alternates, but the team's white pinstriped uniforms - their primary home look - is very clean as well. The Padres have found the perfect amount of brown and yellow without it being obnoxious. And the friar patch on the left sleeve is the cherry on top of an excellent uniform.

6. Oakland Athletics
The A's have one of the best alternates in sports with their kelly green look, but the truth is that this is an organization with one of the deepest uniform kits (for lack of a better term) in sports. The team's primary home uniforms are no exception, highlighted by the elephant on the left sleeve that dates back to the franchise's time in Philadelphia.

5. Detroit Tigers
The Tigers don't have any alternate uniforms, and that's because they have arguably the best road jerseys in the sport and classic home uniforms as well. There have been adjustments made to the "D," shade of the uniform and hat worn with these uniforms, but the Tigers have worn a pretty similar version of this at home continuously since 1934.

4. St. Louis Cardinals
The two Cardinals perched on top of the baseball bat on the front of the team's home uniforms leads into one of the coolest scripts in baseball. The perched redbirds were first introduced in 1922, and the white home uniforms that the team currently wears have been around since the start of 1995 season. The Cardinals have a beautiful set of uniforms, led by these.

3. Los Angeles Dodgers
Dating back to the late-1930s, the Dodgers - initially in Brooklyn - have worn various shades of their current home uniforms, most notably the white one they wear today. In 1952 - six years before moving to Los Angeles - the team introduced the iconic red numbers on the front of these uniforms. Since 1995, the Dodgers have continuously worn the current shade of their white home uniforms.

2. San Francisco Giants
For the first time in over two decades, the Giants have player names on the back of their home uniforms in 2021. While we may prefer the nameless versions, the Giants get props for zigging with a cream home uniform while everyone else zags with white and/or pinstripes. The Giants have worn this exact home uniform since 2001, and it's impossible to see them and not think of Barry Bonds.

1. New York Yankees
In 1912, the Yankees first wore a pinstriped home uniform, three years before they introduced what's become the most iconic home uniform in baseball history. While the Yankees have sometimes had the "NY" on the left chest and other times (1917-1935) just worn a logoless pinstriped uniform, there's no questioning the place in MLB history of these uniforms.
