DeCamara goes on Johan Rojas rant: 'The guy is not good enough'

The Philadelphia Phillies are off to a sluggish 5-6 start and the most frustrating part of their first 11 games is their offense, or lack thereof.

Joe DeCamara hit his breaking point with the team's primary center fielder Johan Rojas who is now 4-27 (.148) with six strikeouts and two walks to start the season.

"The guy really can't hit well enough to play up here, he really can't," DeCamara said on Wednesday's 94WIP Morning Show, following Tuesday's 3-0 Phillies loss to the Cardinals.

"You want to give him another week or two? Knock yourself out. You want to give him another month or two? Knock yourself out. But the bottom line is, it holds them back...The guy is not good enough. Guys like Castellanos can be. Guys like Schwarber can be. I don't believe Rojas can be at this stage of his career, at this level. I think the whole thing is ridiculous. Who to put in there? I don't know. Spin a wheel! I think this Rojas thing, honestly, is kind of a joke, I really do."

DeCamara believes the Phillies are a flawed baseball team, while Jon Ritchie and James Seltzer were trying to calm him down, as we are just 11 games into the season.

DeCamara: "The Phillies are flawed. They are really flawed...It primarily has to do with the hitting...We've seen it for years."

Seltzer: "It's April."

DeCamara: "I know it's April."

Ritchie: "We are 11 games in! You know the offense is better than what they showed."

Seltzer: "They started 5-10 last year, they're 5-6. I can't freak out, we had the same issues. They start slow, it sucks. We thought they were going to start better, they haven't.

"I think there are flaws in there, but I think we get so micro with the Phillies...All these teams have flaws! Every single team has a flaw."
