Schwarber: 'People should be frustrated, we're frustrated'

Kyle Schwarber joins the 94WIP Morning Show

Kyle Schwarber spoke with Joe DeCamara and Jon Ritchie live from Clearwater on Friday morning about the Phillies' mindset entering 2025 after falling short three straight years in a row.

"The goal every year is to hold a trophy up, I don't care who you are," Schwarber said. "Throughout my career I've been in the playoffs every single year except one. I've been to two World Series'. So it's a hard thing to do. Don't get me wrong, I've been on a lot of great teams and this is by far one of the best teams I've been on, going on four years.

"This is zero excuses by any means about that. At the end of the day we fell short. And we fell short '22, we fell short in '23, we fell short last year. And that's how we feel. And every time you exit it hurts just as much as it did the year before or whatever it is, right? It's also too the realistic thing of, it's hard to win a championship."

Schwarber continued about the frustrations the ballclub is dealing with from coming up short.

"We know where we want to go," he said. "People should be frustrated. We're frustrated. We want to win. At the end of the day, we want to win. And yeah like you said, how do you articulate that right?"
