Is it time to swap Nick Castellanos and Alec Bohm in the lineup? Joe Giglio and Hugh Douglas debated that on today's 94WIP Midday Show.
"I understand there's a feeling out there, 'Hey success is success, you don't mess with success.' But I'm looking at this lineup guys and I want to change it a little bit, I want Nick Castellanos to be moved up in the order," Giglio said. "Alec Bohm has not hit in the playoffs. He's hitting .167 in now what is amounted to the beginning of three rounds in the postseason. Castellanos is hitting .370 and I know it's all good right now, but last night we saw Bryce Harper walk once on purpose. I think it's going to keep happening...I just don't know how the Phillies can leave Castellanos so far towards the bottom of lineup when he's this hot right now."
"I think that you shouldn't mess with it right now. I wouldn't play with the lineup until I absolutely have to because you're still scoring runs," Douglas argued.
Alec Bohm has been hitting in the four-hole, while Nick Castellanos is in the 7-hole this postseason for the Phils. Castellanos has an absurd five home runs in his last three games and he is slashing .370/.414/1.000 this postseason with a 1.414 OPS.
Contrarily, Bohm is just 4-24 this postseason. But the Phils, as a team, are on fire so maybe if it's not broke don't fix it?
