The Philadelphia Phillies are going to the World Series. It feels surreal.
After an up and down regular season that saw the firing of Joe Girardi, multiple Bryce Harper injuries, and plenty of roster and lineup changes, the Phillies have gotten hot at the perfect time and are now miraculously headed the 2022 World Series after a 4-1 series defeat of the San Diego Padres.
Bryce Harper continues his historic postseason, as he is now 18-43 with six doubles, five homers, and 11 RBI, his fifth homer coming in epic fashion, a go-ahead two-run blast in the bottom of the eighth inning of game five.
The Phillies are 5-0 at Citizens Bank Park this postseason after beating the Padres on Sunday to advance to the World Series.
