Former MLB player and Phillies analyst Ben Davis believes the Phillies "choked" in the National League Championship Series against the Diamondbacks.
"It was a choke," Davis said on Thursday's 94WIP Morning Show with Joe DeCamara and Jon Ritchie. "It was one hundred percent a choke. They didn't hit. They just flat out didn't hit. They stopped hitting.
"You don't hit a home run in one at-bat and then go 0 for 23."
"But you do," DeCamara argued. "Look at Nick Castellanos' regular season. How do you explain Ryan Howard as a baseball player? He wouldn't hit in April or May, he'd go bananas in June, he'd go crazy. That's baseball."
"I just think they're too good to choke," Davis replied.
The vast majority of Phillies fans agree with Davis.
