Let the Juan Soto rumors begin!
"The Philadelphia Phillies are expected to strongly pursue him to team up with [Scott] Boras client Bryce Harper," Bob Nightengale wrote of Soto for USA Today.com.
Soto, who is just 26-years-old, was traded to the Yankees from the San Diego Padres in December of 2023. He is set to become a free agent for the first time in his career this offseason.
Soto is a four-time All-Star and slashed .288/.419/.569 with a .989 OPS, 41 home runs, and 109 RBI this season.
Soto is also consistently among the league leaders in walks, averaging 133 per season and is an outfielder, two things the Phillies desperately need.
