Alec Bohm has just six hits in 32 at-bats (.188 BA) in nine games this postseason and the Phillies—specifically Bryce Harper—are starting to see the affects of Bohm struggling as the clean-up hitter.
Joe Giglio says Phillies manager Rob Thomson has to make a lineup ahead of Game 4.
"I don't believe they'll win the World Series with Alec Bohm hitting clean up. They're going to have to change this," Giglio said on Friday's 94WIP Midday Show with Hugh Douglas.
"I am not afraid they are going to lose the series, but guys I did see some reason for concern for this playoff run...The goal here is to win the championship...Number one, they have to fix this lineup. I said this a couple days ago...Alec Bohm cannot hit behind Bryce Harper tonight. I am not suggesting it anymore, I am calling for it."
Giglio pointed out on X and on the radio that Harper saw 17 pitches in Thursday's Game 3 loss, and only one of those 17 pitches were in the strike zone.
J.T. Realmuto is 9-33 this postseason with two home runs, three doubles and 10 RBIs. Nick Castellanos is 10-32 with five home runs, two doubles and 7 RBIs. Both are possible clean-up hole replacements for Bohm.
