94WIP's James Seltzer and Jack Fritz, who host the popular Phillies' High Hopes Podcast, found their way to the locker room postgame on Wednesday night to celebrate the team's NL Wildcard series victory and even had beer poured on them by team translator Diego Ettedgui.
"So it was shoutout to Diego the team translator, but Diego was the one who poured beer on us," Seltzer said on Thursday's 94WIP Morning Show. "Somehow Fritz and I ended up there and somehow we got beer tossed on us and it was legit one of the coolest things that ever happened in my life."
Joe DeCamara asked if the players actually know Fritz, who received some love from the ESPN broadcast during Tuesday's Game 1, is responsible for the Trea Turner standing ovation.
"Diego said these guys saved the season when he poured beer on us, so Diego knows," Seltzer said. "I have no idea, but pretty neat man. It was really, really neat."
Apparently, Diego was pouring beer on everyone, all the way from Fritz and Seltzer to Phillies managing partner John Middleton!
