PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Citizens Bank Park will look a little different next season.
The Phillies announced a new scoreboard will replace the ballpark’s current model.
The 152-by-86-foot widescreen scoreboard will be 77% larger than the current display and will also feature a 4K, high dynamic range (HDR) screen.
Phillies Executive Vice President David Buck said the new PhanaVision adds a “significant ‘wow’ factor” to the ballpark experience.
According to the Phillies, the new scoreboard will be one of the largest in baseball — big enough to fit 516 life-size Phillie Phanatics in it simultaneously.
The installation will begin in the offseason. It is expected to be completed in time for Opening Day 2023.
