The Phillies are reportedly bringing back shortstop Freddy Galvis in a trade deadline deal at the buzzer with the Orioles, sending 23-year-old prospect Tyler Burch to Baltimore.
Galvis, 31, is slashing .249/.309/.414 with nine homers and 26 RBIs with the Orioles this season. Galvis has the 5th best fielding percentage among all shortstops.
Earlier in the day, the Phillies acquire two veteran pitchers from the Rangers in Kyle Gibson and Ian Kennedy for three prospects, including Spencer Howard.
