Quinn, a second-round pick of the Phillies in 2011, made his MLB debut in 2016 but never swung the bat well, and was non-tendered following the 2021 season after he had hit just .228 in 178 games over parts of five seasons.

His 2022 was quite a journey, as he was released from his minor-league deal with the Marlins in April and re-signed with the Phillies, then was released in June and signed with Kansas City. The Royals released him in July and he hooked on with the Rays, where he spent the rest of the year.

Overall, Quinn hit .215 in 44 MLB games last year, including .162 in 23 games in Philly, and he also played six games at Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

Kelly, 30, was the 48th overall pick by the Padres in 2011, but did not make his MLB debut until 2022 with the Phillies. He spent 2012-17 in the minors with the Padres, then spent 2018 in the Orioles system, 2019 in the independent Atlantic League, 2020 out of baseball, and 2021 with the Astros before signing a minor-league deal with the Phillies.

The righty made his MLB debut in June and allowed one run in four innings over four relief appearances. He also had a 5.29 ERA in 51 innings at Triple-A.
