Ruben Amaro Jr. confident Phillies' big bats will come back to life

Former Philadelphia Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. is confident their big bats will turn things around and the team will right the ship.

"Again, it's about the big boys stepping forward," Amaro said on Tuesday's 94WIP Morning Show live at MaGerk's in Horsham. "[Trea] Turner was phenomenal for awhile, he's been not very good. Then you have Harper who has picked up a home run, but he hasn't really hit consistently over the last several days. Those guys will hit and when they start doing it, [the Phillies] will come out of it."

The Phillies' bats all went cold at the same time. Turner is 7 for his last 42 (.167), Harper is 6 for his last 42 (.143), and catcher J.T. Realmuto back from injury is 3 for his last 21 (.143).

As a team, the Phillies are now below .500 since their London series against the Mets. They have lost four straight series', five straight series openers, and are 4-9 in their last 13 games.
