Phillies Alumni Weekend begins tonight at Citizens Bank Park, as tons of Philadelphia legends will be walking around the ballpark this weekend.
Former Phillies pitcher of the famous 1993 Phillies team Tommy Greene joined the 94WIP Morning Show on Friday morning to talk about the upcoming weekend.
The Phillies are hosting the Twins for a three-game set to complete what has become one of the more memorable and magical Phillies' homestands ever. Last week, Trea Turner received a standing ovation amid his worst season ever sparking a seven game hitting streak. Then, on Wednesday night this week, Michael Lorenzen threw a no-hitter in his first home start as a Phillie.
Before Sunday's series finale against the Minnesota Twins, a 1:35pm start, the '93 and '83 Phillies' teams will be honored on the field.
Other weekend highlights include:
Friday: Ceremonial First Pitch by Hall of Famer Jim Kaat, On-field
Saturday: 6:05 p.m. game, Toyota Phillies Wall of Fame Night; Gates open 4:35 p.m. All fans receive a commemorative print of the 2023 Toyota Phillies Wall of Fame inductees.
