DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Cowboys will be without starting right tackle Terence Steele for the remainder of the season after he suffered a torn ACL in Sunday's 27-23 win over the Texans, 105.3 The Fan's Bobby Belt reports.
Steele underwent an MRI on Monday after exiting Sunday's game in the second quarter with a knee injury, and the results proved the Cowboys' concerns.
The Cowboys turned to backup tackle Josh Ball to fill in for Steele, but the second-year pro was beaten several times by the Texans' pass rush and allowed the hit on Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott that resulted in a fourth quarter interception.
Jason Peters, who hadn't played right tackle since 2005, subbed into the game for Ball on the Cowboys' final possession and helped Prescott lead the Cowboys' offense on a 98-yard touchdown drive to win the game.
With All-Pro left tackle Tyron Smith expected to return this Sunday against Jacksonville, the Cowboys have a lot to figure out in terms of who goes where on the offensive line.
