August 2, 2020 I mean the reality of the situation is simple, the Phillies are incredibly frustrating and their bullpen stinks. The Sixers are even more frustrating and now lost Ben Simmons to a discloated knee cap (of course) for an extended period of time, which usually means the rest of the season when you're talking about the Josh Harris owned Philadelphia 76ers. And the Flyers are...winning!
I have no idea how the standings or scheduling works, or what happens next, but they just keep winning!
The Flyers just beat the Bruins and the Capitals 4-1 and 3-1, respectively. They have a young goalie in Carter Hart, who seems like the real deal. They are well coached under first-year coach Alain Vigneault. They have seasoned captain, playmaker, and leader in Claude Giroux. They're sound defensively behind Ivan Provorov and Travis Sanheim.
And they legitimately, might be, arguably are, the best team in the NHL right now.
So, the time has come.
LET'S GO FLYERS.
