Top 15 Philly draft picks since 1970

Angelo Cataldi and the 94WIP Morning Show asked 94WIP program director Spike Eskin to come up with the top 15 Philadelphia draft picks for a segment this morning, in honor of the 2020 NFL Draft beginning tonight. Prizes were given out, including an Eagles draft hat, for callers that guessed correctly.

Here is Spike's list:

15. Peter Forsberg (1991)

14. Claude Giroux (2006)

13. Maurice Cheeks (1978)

12. Ryan Howard (2001)

11. Jason Kelce (2011)

10. Charles Barkley (1984)

9. Bill Barber (1972)

8. Jimmy Rollins (1993)

7. Reggie White (1984)

6. Donovan McNabb (1999)

5. Allen Iverson (1996)

4. Brian Dawkins (1996)

3. Chase Utley (2000)

2. Mike Schmidt (1971)

1. Nick Foles (2012)

"We took into account where they were drafted, the value proposition, individual stats, team success, how long they were here, if they went somewhere else what we got back for them, the fan relationship, everything!" Eskin said when asked what into his list on Thursday.

Interestingly, Spike has Nick Foles No. 1 and left Carson Wentz completely off of the list, which will certainly stir the pot.

"If Nick Foles was never selected by the Eagles they would have never reacquired him and we would have never won the Super Bowl," Eskin said. "The Super Bowl MVP in the most important game in the history of Philadelphia sports."
