The Trial of Joe DeCamara on 94WIP

On Thursday, February 20th at 12:45pm, the 94WIP Midday Show will hold the Trial of Joe DeCamara.

Why is DeCamara going on trial, you ask? Here's why.

DeCamara made a bet on the air before he went to Phillies Phantasy Camp saying he would get at least:

a. either five hits (with one of the hits being an extra base hit)
b. at least six hits (all singles)
  • If DeCamara won the bet, the Phillies would allow Midday Show and 10 listeners on the field for batting practice before a Phillies game.
  • If DeCamara lost the bet, he had to get his legs and feet waxed live on the air.

DeCamara got four hits, losing the bet. But not so fast. DeCamara claims that because the games were six innings long rather than the seven innings he was expecting he did not have as many at-bats as he expected, voiding the bet.

Sort of unrelated, he also re-injured his core muscle/groin and was unable to run. He had a dog pinch run for him.
