“It’s just one of those movies you gotta see,” Master P says. The film stars Jackie Long, Denise Boutte, Christian Keyes, and is a must add to your Valentine’s Day movie list.
“It’s such a phenomenal heartfelt film and has been such a great, great partnership experience,” Lison said of the experience making the film and working with Master P.
“I have to say that P was definitely a boss on set when he came around. We knew what we was under, we knew we had to do this right, it’s been a lovely experience,” he added.
Just a few weeks ago Master P made headlines when he announced his new business venture, supercars. He announced a partnership with former Tesla engineer Richard Patterson to develop America’s first Black-owned supercar manufacturer called Trion Supercars.
When asked what inspired him to pursue this venture, P offered the following. “When you look at our culture, we don’t think we can do deals of that magnitude.” Alongside his son Romeo, the two said “we got to change that narrative and educate our people.”
“This is a game changer, now we can acquire multi-billion dollar companies, which we didn’t think we could do that,” he said.
“We’ve been consumers instead of producers, we want to change that narrative. How do we feed our families, how do we put money back into the Black community is all about ownership and changing the narrative to economic empowerment in the same way we’re able to do these films and create these movies that we’re doing and we controlling the narrative because we’re executive producers. This is coming to where we can put money back into our communities.”
Before they left, P dropped some wisdom on what it takes to be successful.
“Don’t ever do nothing for money, do it because you love it and you're passionate about it. If you want to be successful, it’s going to take consistency. Consistency is what’s going to get you to your dreams and goals.”
Never and Again will be released on BET+ on February 11.
