The House Judiciary Committee held a hearing on police brutality on Wednesday including testimony from George Floyd’s brother.
"I'm tired," Philonise Floyd told Congress during his opening remarks. "I'm tired of the pain I'm feeling now and I'm tired of the pain I feel every time another black person is killed for no reason."

He added: "I'm here today to ask you to make it stop. Stop the pain. Stop us from being tired."
Philonise referred to his brother George as a "gentle giant" who "always made sacrifices for his family" and strangers.
"He didn't deserve to die over twenty dollars," Philonise said to the Committee.
Testifying before lawmakers, Philonise Floyd was joined by the Floyd family’s lawyer, a former Secret Service agent, and the sister of a federal law enforcement officer killed in the line of duty, reports ABC.
The hearing featured 12 witnesses in total, some appearing in-person and some virtually, as Congress responded to the death of George Floyd.
Also invited to appear were Sherrilyn Ifill, the president of the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, and Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo, who also serves as president of the Major City Chiefs Association.
The hearing “examine[d] the crisis of racial profiling, police brutality and lost trust between police departments and the communities they serve,” according to an announcement.
