It looks like Kanye West will no longer be performing at the GRAMMYs. Reportedly, the rapper was pulled as a performer from the 64th annual GRAMMY Awards. According to CNN, the decision was made due to West’s "concerning online behavior."

GRAMMY host Trevor Noah weighed in on West being removed from the performance lineup. “I said counsel Kanye not cancel Kanye,” Noah tweeted yesterday. E! News reports that a source said Noah “never asked the GRAMMYs to ban Kanye from performing.”

Previously, West was temporarily removed from Instagram after using a racial slur towards Noah. Prior to Ye’s 24-hour Instagram ban last week, Noah briefly spoke about West’s relationship with his ex-wife Kim Kardashian on The Daily Show. "But what she's going through is terrifying to watch and shines a spotlight on what so many women go through when they choose to leave," Noah said on the late-night show. Aside from his ex-wife, West also made antagonistic social media posts about Pete Davidson and recently D.L. Hughley.

West’s “Eazy” collaborator, The Game, actually called out The Recording Academy on Instagram in regards to Ye’s performance being pulled. “Time & time again they show us that they only want to steal the culture, not allow you to ever be their equals,” The Game wrote in a lengthy caption. “In a more than obvious move for reasons of minuscule actions…The Grammys have at the last minute decided to pull @kanyewest from performing on the show as if we didn’t know it was coming.”

The Game speculates that West’s GRAMMY performance was axed because Noah is hosting the show, and also because of West’s recent Instagram suspension. “We’ll just say it’s all of the above,” he continued. The Game further mentioned that he will always support Ye’s decision to speak up.

The 2022 GRAMMYs will air April 3 on CBS at 8PM ET. Billie Eilish, Lil Nas X, BTS and Olivia Rodrigo are set to perform this year. More performances will be announced in the coming days.
