(SportsRadio 610) -- Just hours after trading away one of the most accomplished wide receivers in franchise history, the Houston Texans have agreed to terms with free agent Randall Cobb on a three-year, $27 million deal, according to NFL Network.

Cobb's deal is reportedly worth $18.75 million guaranteed.

He played for the Dallas Cowboys in 2019 after spending his first eight seasons with the Green Bay Packers.

Cobb had 55 catches for 828 yards and three touchdowns in 15 games for the Cowboys last season.

This is the first major outside free agent signing agreement for the Texans this offseason. Free agency officially begins Wednesday at 3 p.m. CT.

I'll put the #Cowboys knowledge and tape study of @BryanBroaddus against ANYONE. Asked him about new #Texans WR Randall Cobb and he had some good things to say. "You're going to love him. He had a few more drops than normal but works the middle of the field well. Pros pro."

The Texans will need all the help they can get after agreeing to trade DeAndre Hopkins to the Arizona Cardinals for running back David Johnson and a second-round pick.

Hopkins had three years, $40 million left on his deal.

Hopkins, who was drafted by the Texans in 2013, ends his run with the Texans as second all-time in receiving yards (8,602), behind only Andre Johnson (13,597).
