Billboard appears near San Antonio recruiting Boogie to the Spurs

The Summer of DeMarcus Cousins isn’t going exactly as planned so far, as the market remains relatively dry for Boogie.

On Thursday, A billboard went up of DeMarcus in a Spurs jersey in an attempt to lure the free agent big man to San Antonio:

Furthermore, per Candace Parker of the Washington Post, DeMarcus and Washington Wizards interim president Tommy Sheppard engaged in “small talk” in Las Vegas. Nothing further has been reported.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported earlier that there “isn’t a market” for Boogie, and that a deal for the mid-level exception may not be available.

A return to the Warriors isn’t ruled out yet either. ”I could absolutely foresee a place for DeMarcus here if he wanted to come back,” said Steve Kerr, following the Warriors end to their season.

Due to salary cap rules following the D'Angelo Russell sign-and-trade, it would be difficult to imagine DeMarcus returning to Golden State on anything more than a veteran minimum contract.
