With Chase Center set to open, Draymond Green is now locked in, alongside the likes of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and D'Angelo Russell.
With Green's future now secured, the Warriors, as Green himself predicted in the wake of Finals' loss to the Raptors, have pivoted flawlessly, in the wake of that on-court disappointment and the subsequent departure of Kevin Durant.
Back on June 13, after the Warriors closed out Oracle in disappointing fashion, ceding the title to the Raptors on a night when Klay Thompson tore his ACL, Green sat at the postgame podium, speaking calmly, yet confidently.
“I think everybody thinks it's kind of the end of us,” Green said. “But that's just not smart.”
“We're not done yet,” Green continued. “We lost this year. Clearly just wasn't our year, but that's how the cookie crumbles sometimes. But, yeah, I hear a lot of that noise, it's the end of a run and all that jazz. I don't see it happening though. We'll be back.”
With Green, Curry, Thompson and Russell all on board, the proclamation is looking wise.
