Warriors head coach Steve Kerr gave injury updates on Kevon Looney, Willie Cauley-Stein and Alen Smailagic following the team's practice on Sunday at the Biofreeze Performance Center.
Looney, who has been out with a hamstring injury, scrimmaged and felt good after. Kerr said Looney will "probably" start at center on Thursday when the Warriors open up against the Clippers.
Cauley-Stein (ankle) has been cleared for non-contact action but he won't be available on Thursday and there still isn't a timetable for his return.
There is some good news for the rookie, Smailagic (ankle). Kerr said there's a chance he could be available for the opener. Smailagic injured his ankle at the beginning of training camp and missed the entire preseason.
The Warriors tip off the season, against Los Angeles, at 7:30pm on Thursday night.
