It was a night to forget at Chase Center.

A Golden State nightmare came to life as franchise leader Stephen Curry suffered a broken left hand. The injury occured in the third quarter following a nasty fall in the paint:

It is Curry’s first broken bone in his NBA tenure. On Thursday night, Bob Myers, the team's president of basketball ops/general manager, told ESPN's Nick Friedell that Curry wouild have an MRI and CT scan to determine if he needs surgery and how long he'll be out.

The CT scan wasn't enough to determine a timeline.

Add Curry to the laundry list of injured Warriors: Klay Thompson (left ACL), Jacob Evans (left adductor strain), Kevon Looney (neuropathy) and Alen Smailagić (right ankle sprain).

On a brighter note, Eric Paschall impressed in his first NBA start. He had 20 points (7-for-9 from the field) in 38 minutes.

Fresh off of his foot injury, Willie Cauley-Stein made his Warriors season debut. He came off the bench, scoring 12 points and grabbing 5 rebounds in 12 minutes of action.

D'Angelo Russell scored just 15 points (5-for-12 from the field) along with 6 rebounds and 6 assists. The 2018-19 All-Star is still adjusting to being a Warrior, and his usage is set to increase now that Curry is sidelined.

The Warriors will face the Spurs, the front end in their back-to-back, on Friday. Tip-off is at 7:30pm and coverage starts at 6:00pm on 95.7 The Game.
