Facing the Clippers, one of the NBA's prememinent powers, the Warriors dropped the Chase Center opener, 141-122 on Thursday night.
Lou Williams was the highest scorer for the Clippers off the bench with 22 points.
Stephen Curry still had 23 points, but he struggled shooting and especially with turnovers. He had 8 of the Warriors 13 turnovers.
D'Angelo Russell was right behind him with 20 points.
The Clippers went on a 14-0 run before Russell got hot and went on a 10-0 run.

— Golden State Warriors (@warriors) October 25, 2019Draymond Green had his worst +/- of his career. He was a -35. He injured his elbow in the first few minutes of the game. He went to the locker room before returning later.
Steve Kerr said post game that Draymond's injury was something to do with his nerves.
Kevon Looney was expected to play 20 minutes but didn't return the second half because of hamstring tightness. He grabbed 9 boards and played just 10 minutes. His absence was definitley felt in the second half.
Jacob Evans was impressive and he had 14 points.
The rookie Eric Paschall showed that he can hold his own and he finished with 14 points, 4 assists, and 4 rebounds.
The Warriors will now head out on their first roadtrip of the regular season. First up, the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday and then the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday.
