Wearing an black suit, white hair and gold chain, Don Nelson, the former veteran NBA coach, cut quite the figure at Oracle Arena on Thursday night.
Nelson was among the Warriors on hand for We Believe night, a tribute to the 2006-07 club. Asked what he’s been up to since he left basketball, Nelson offered a memorable reply.
“I’ve been smoking some pot,” Nelson said, to the the delight of Stephen Jackson.
