Before Garoppolo held court, head coach Kyle Shanahan, seated alongside GM John Lynch at the podium at club HQ, ruled out the $137-million man for Week 1 of the preseason. Shanahan said team will decide what to do with Garoppolo for the rest of the exhibition slate after the opener.
