Lynch on AB: ‘We think the guy is a heck of a football player, but we have not had talks’

The day after Kyle Shanahan told reporters at the NFL Scouting Combine that the 49ers have not been on the phone with the Steelers regarding Antonio Brown, John Lynch reaffirmed that statement.

“We have not (talked with the Steelers),” Lynch told reporters.

“It’s funny, the world we live in, where one tweet from a player to another turns into interest and all of that.”

It a wise statement from the Niner GM. Amid all the speculation, there has not been a single credible report linking the front office (or Shanahan) to the trade speculation.

“But hey, that is the world we live in,” Lynch continued. “I can tell you, like every team in this league, we think the guy is a heck of a football player. But, we have not had talks with the Steelers. I can tell you that.”
