‘Cap. Cap. Cap cap cap….u don’t have my number mannnnn’ — KD calls out Broussard again

The Twitter dialogue between Kevin Durant, reigning back-to-back MVP, and Chris Broussard, host/reporter for Fox Sports and FS1, just keeps escalating.

It all began on Monday with the following…

I see a little exaggeration there buddy, my worst nightmare?? U sure that this is the worst that it can get???

— Kevin Durant (@KDTrey5) May 20, 2019

On Wednesday Morning, Broussard went on “Undisputed” and explained that he has no problem taking the heat:

"KD and I have a love-hate relationship. We've texted for 2, 3 hours straight about life, basketball, media, faith. ... KD has gone at me much harder privately. We make a living critiquing athletes. It would be hypocritical of us to not be able to take it."

And then Durant responded:

Cap. Cap. Cap cap cap....u don’t have my number mannnnn https://t.co/uJhQjR74Zr

For those wondering, our very own Bonta Hill took the hit to find out what "cap" means.

What's cap cap cap cap mean?

— Bonta Hill (@BontaHill) May 22, 2019

The replies are great, but the short answer is "lie."

Shortly thereafter, Broussard clarified his comments.

IG DM, Twitter DM, text - it’s all the same thing nowadays, dude. Don’t act like I’m lying. https://t.co/qynAittN8V

Broussard wasn't done, either.

On Thursday morning, Broussard posted a selfie video in his car, revealing that he has more than 60 DMs on Twitter and Instagram in the past year with Durant but he won't release them out of respect for the player:

On @kdtrey5 situation:In the past year, I have 60+ IG & Tw DMs from KD, mostly from 3 convos initiated by him spanning 5+ hrs each.I won’t expose them out of respect 4 KD & others I text with.I will continue to love, respect & pray for KD - & objectively analyze his game. pic.twitter.com/PBJwG67YKa

Then Broussard went on TV and said he should be fired if anyone can prove he's lying...

"KD has every right to get on social media and clapback. What he doesn't have a right to do is lie. ... If anybody can prove that I was lying yesterday, then fire me. Don't let me set foot in this building again." — @Chris_Broussard pic.twitter.com/0yibVNhBqp
