It was… different.
The sun was shining. It was a perfect afternoon in China Basin. It was a whole new world at Oracle Park.
I wish I could tell you why, but to do so would incite rage, because, without experiencing the scene first hand, there’s just no way to understand the nuance — and the reality.
On the suite level, with the stunning vistas of the stadium and the bay and the skylines beyond, there was behavior and there were words that begged questions about sincerity, that spoke to a problematic future.
In the bowels of the stadium, there was a chance, and ever-so brief encounter, that signaled sweeping change.
